2005 Contest Update

Wow, already 2/3 of the way through 2005!  Where is the year going?   

For those of you who don't know, I competed at the 2005 NABBA Southern Hemisphere championships  in my home town Southport, Gold Coast in Queensland Australia.  I took out the Women's Physique division against Jo Rogers.  Since my last show for NABBA in 2000 Jo had dominated the Women's Physique class, so it was great to come back and re-state my claim on the top Australian title.

Sadly due to a lack of financial support from NABBA, I wasn't able to attend the World Championships in Brazil.  However, from what I've seen of the event, the awesome Renee Toney was penalised for her size and condition, so I may not have fared that well anyway.  Seems a lot has changed in NABBA since I left, and not for the better.

Anyway, that is all the news from the contest front for me this year.  I am enjoying a busy social life here on the Gold Coast and won't return to competition until next June.  I will have a pair of new additions to my physique which you'll all just have to wait and see......

For anyone in Australia or New Zealand who is interested, there is a 5 page article on me in the Inside Sport magazine that is in the newsagents now (August/September).  It features photos from the NABBA show as well as me doing typical daily activities.  The article gives good exposure to my supplements, International Protein.  The company is now a year old and I'd like to thank all those shops and individuals who have supported us and helped us survive our first 12 months.
